It's not the most fancy buffet there is, but it's cheap (REALLY cheap if you pay with points) and usually (but not always) good. On weekdays from Monday to Friday, the breakfast buffet runs from 7AM. The lush and tropical Mirage Resort is no exception. She said that it was the standard there too, and that she would assure that it would not happen again, and comped a round of adult beverages for the table. The Mirage Buffet is always open every day of the week, for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. Its an unwritten rule of Las Vegas: every respectable major resort has to have a buffet. I added that at our local casino here, the procedure at a shared service/public bar was that it was one drink for the server, then one drink for a guest, rinse, repeat. When I got back to the table he had a manager there and was reading her the riot act. My brother was like WTF and the bartender was a major snot about it. He asked (nicely, I was within earshot) how long it would be and the guy snapped back that it would be 5-10 minutes. The bartender was busy filling a floor server's orders. He was at the window at the buffet marked "BEER" and he was trying to get a beer. My brother did have an issue with a bartender a while back. My biggest complaint is that they took out the coffee shop and then Billy Bob's. I really think that things have majorly improved at Sams Town over the past decade or so. My favorite buffets (when we do one) are Wynn and Wicked Spoon.Ĭlick to expand.Sorry to hijack the thread. We are comped there so hit it once for breakfast/lunch each trip and have never gotten ill after eating there, so that's a plus. Optional base in transparent glass 15 mm. The morning carving station (ham, bacon, sausage) is good. Sideboard with 2 sliding doors, covered inlacquered or in etched lacquered glass. Weird, but the toast needs to be ordered at the cold cereal/yogurt/salad station. Really good fresh grapefruit and orange sections are available by the hot cereal/breakfast station - don't get them at the dessert station the fruit there tastes canned. At 15.99 for breakfast, 19.99 for lunch, and 26.99 for dinner, even the pricing is good for a buffet of this quality (its less expensive than lunch at Paris. Omelette/egg made to order station is a must for me. They need to get with the program and add small plate offerings for variety. Food is usually hot and replenished frequently. It is a mid range buffet quality and variety wise, but not nasty, imo. Weekday prices are much better than weekend. Dinner was below average and would not suggest dinner there.
